Designing A Family Tree For Your Family
Even though you probably know all of your immediate family, when you look into family history it becomes much more difficult to find the facts about your family. When you design a family tree, your siblings and parents are great places to start, and then of course everyone else that is living (grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc.). Unfortunately you will most likely hit a wall when trying to past your great-grandparents. When you design a family tree the goal is to do more than get dates. What type of cultural influences played a major role your relative’s life? Does one side of the family have a history of some illness? What did your past relatives do to improve their situation and overcome hardship? These are just some of the many questions you’ll find answers to when you design your family tree.
